Project Goal

To provide comprehensive education and vocational support
to children of 3-15 years for Marginalised Community
through formal, nonformal, special education method in rural
education system.



Specific Objectives Of The Project

  • Provide district level educational support through formal and non- formal schools in rural Bengal.
  • Improve the general awareness of the villagers on formal education and inclusive education for the person with disability. Motivate people to take participation in community mobilization through parents meeting, awareness camp organized and advocacy in government and non government level.
  • Address the community participation in school management to establish sustainability of the school and decentralization of power in over all management of education project to enhance strong community Participation towards the programme.
  • Net working with other educational institution to bring the better concept for quality education provide to the rural children and to establish a good relationship for admission of the out going students of our institution.
  • Right looking to strengthen the movement related to child rights. Food, cloth and shelter are the basic need of human beings. It is necessary for survive but not sufficient. Education helps the person to fulfill the second order condition. So it should be the basic right to children.
  • Special Education support for the mentally retarded children and aside by ADL training for their daily life.
  • Special education concept development program (orientation on special education) organized for the school teacher under Bodhoday Vidya Mandir chain.

Challenges

  • Staff turn-over.
  • Some BVMs are situated at remotest corner of rural Bengal. So it is difficult to communicate.
  • Students are unable to play regularly due to lack of play- ground.
  • Due to some unavoidable circumstances School construction work is delayed.
  • Some schools are situated in highly flood prone zone. We have to close these schools every year for few days during flood.

Success

  • Students of BVMs received Minority Commission Grant Scholarship.
  • Students are provided free text books supported by W.B. Education Dept.
  • Active support from local Panchayet for infrastructural development.
  • Support from WBSEDCL for electrification.
  • Local donation for class room decoration.
  • All Schools are Registered under SI office.
