Community Based Rehabilitation Department (CBR) - Howrah, India
1. Sankrail CRC,Sankrail Saratpally, gramm er , Howrah - 711313, West Bengal
Sankrail is a small town in Sankrail Block in Sadar subdivision of Howrah district of West Beng al . As per 2011 Census of India Sankrail had a total population of 29,114 of which 14,919 (51%) were males and 14,195 (49%) were females. Population below 6 years was 3,328. 82.18% of the population over 6 years. Hundreds of children with disabilities received various kind of rehabilitation support from the Community Rehabilitation Cent re established by the organization in 2006 and till now we provide services to 3 00 children with disability. One rehabilitation Therapist and one special educator work 6 days in a week to provide quality service.
2. Bagnan CRC, Gobordhanpur,Khalor, Bagnan, Howrah - 711303, West Bengal
Since 2006 Asha Bhavan Centre running a Community Rehabilitation Centre at Bagnan, which is a town in Bagnan I Block in Howrah district of West Bengal . As per 2011 Cens us of India Bagnan had a total population of 10,996 of which 5,536 (50%) were males and 5,460 (50%) were females. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age. Through the Community Rehabilitation Centre we serve 234 children with disability of this bloc k and adjacent of the district. The children taking all kind of rehabilitation support involving parents and get benefited. The centre opens 6 dyas in a wekk and between 9 – 5 pm.
3. Khidirpur CRC, Khidirpur ,Shyampur ,Howrah - 711314, West Bengal
Kidirpur is a small village beside Shyampur town which is under Shyampur II community development block that forms an administrative divisio n in Uluberia subdivision of Howrah district of West Bengal . The block has 76 inhabited villages. As per 2011 Census of India Shyampur II Block had a total population o f 196,164, of which 100,471 (51%) males and 95,693 (49%) females. Population below 6 years was 23,221. Asha Bhavan Centre run a Community Rehabilitation Centre in its own premises to provide various kind of rehabilitation servic es involving parents. We to ok various initiatives to develop the skills of parents to take care and protecti on of their child in community.
4. Amoragori CRC, Amoragori, Joypur, Amta II, Howrah. 711401, West Bengal
Amoragori is a well known village of Amta II community development block of Howrah district . Amta II panchayat samit y has 14 gram panchayats. The block has 68 inhabited villages. As per 2011 Census of India Amta II Block had a total population of 208,132, of which 107,083 (51%) males and 101,049 (49%) females. Population below 6 years was 23,799. In collaboration with a local NGO Asha Bhavan centre run its rehabilitation centre for the children with disabilities of this area and adjacent block area. Since 2006 we provide rehabil itation support to 268 children with disabilities and their families.
5. Kathila CRC , Kathila, Banitabla, Uluberia, Howrah - 711316, West Bengal
The community rehabilitation centre start functioning very recently in the main campus of Asha Bhavan Centre. Thr ough this centre we provide rehabilitation services to the children who attend the centre with their parents and took the rehabilitation services . In Uluberia I Panchayat Samity has 9 gram panchayats. The block has 71 inhabited villages. As per 2011 Census of India Uluberia I Block had a total population of 215,392, of which 109,809 (51%) males and 195,583 (49%) females. Population below 6 years was 29,413. Through this Centre we serve 105 children with disability of this block and adjacent of the district since 2016. The children taking all kind of rehabilitation support involving parents and get benefited. The centre opens 6 dyas in a week and between 9 – 5 pm.
