HOW TO INVOLVE
Donate
Programs and projects of Asha Bhavan Centre depend upon the grant-in-aid from aid agencies and donations from our friends and well wishers. Without these support, it will be difficult for us to improve the lives of vulnerable and disabled children. We seek your magnanimous support to our cause and welcome any kind of support you may wish to offer.
Donations can be either general donations to the overall activities of the organization or specifically to any of our activities including sponsoring the expenses of a child for cure and care. If you wish to donate to us, please write to us and we shall advice you on the mode of making the donation.
We also welcome donors, international aid agencies and non governmental organizations to support us. Detailed project proposals, assessment reports and log frames will be submitted as per the guidelines of the aid agency. Please write to us and advice us on this matter.
Sponsor a Child
You can sponsor the education and support to a disabled child through our community based outreach activities. Please download the sponsorship form for more details.
Volunteer with ABC
If you have the aptitude to be a volunteer for development of underprivileged children, come to ABC, stay with us and help us help the children. ABC is currently inviting applications from skilled volunteers. Priority will be given to volunteers having specialized skill and experience in the following areas:
For Lapierre Centre of Excellence for Disabled, we need:
- Physiotherapy for Cerebral Palsied Children
- Physiotherapy Trainers
- General Medical Doctors
- Orthopedic Specialists
- Pediatric Specialists
- Orthopedic Nurses
- General Nurses
- Ergo Therapists
- Speech Therapists
- Occupational Therapist
- Recreational Therapist
- Special Educators (Cerebral Palsy)
- Special Educators (MR)
- Trainers on disability care
For Orthopedic Workshop, we need:
- Orthosis Engineers/Professionals
- Prosthesis Engineers/Professionals
For Community Based Rehabilitation project, we need:
- General Medical Doctors
- Orthopedic Doctors
For Education Program
- Teachers’ Trainers
- Special Education Trainers
General
- General Volunteering with no specific skills but willingness to undertake any responsibility with minimal supervision
- Management professionals with experience in developing systems
ABC is also principally willing to be associated and involved with research and operational institutions on the subject of disability
Volunteers are given reasonable boarding and lodging in ABC campus. Please check with us the accommodation status, local weather conditions and other details before you come to work with us. ABC is not in a position to pay for the travel or subsistence of volunteers and would highly welcome if the volunteers can meet by themselves the nominal boarding and lodging expenses in ABC. Usually, the lead time is about three months to visit us once you have shown interest in working with ABC and your application has been accepted by us.
